We are extremely excited to be opening a brand new non-profit centre, offering various programs and services in Thunder Bay, for anyone, with any type of cancer, at any stage in their journey. NovaCare is a cancer rehabilitation and wellness centre, aiming to open in April 2021, which will run programs and services that meet the emotional, social, practical and restorative needs of people living with cancer, as well as their caregivers and families.
We would like to invite you to join us in our mission by creating hope and making a difference for so many individuals and their families who are experiencing the hardships of this terrible sickness. Through the generosity of our donors, we will be able to start this project through ‘seed funding’ to run this centre for the first year and support as many clients as possible by offering subsidized programs and services for anyone not covered by insurance.
Both our clients and sponsors resemble the ‘tree of life’ which represents growth. A tree starts out small and delicate and grows, over a long period of time, upwards and outwards. This represents how our generous sponsors will be the seeds and roots of our foundation. Our clients and centre will rely on this core support to ensure that we grow stronger together, as we welcome nourishment, transformation, and liberation which symbolizes hope and the start of new beginnings. Our centre will feature a ‘Tree of Life’ decorative wall to recognize the generosity of our donors.
